Grand Tournament Elites (GTE) is in search of highly driven and motivated head coaches to join our team in New York. Our mission at Grand Tournament Elites is to bring exposure to high school baseball athletes, by offering a challenge to take part in a competitive tournament that provides an overall advantage to its participants. As an ideal candidate, you have previous coaching or playing experience at the high school, college or professional level and be knowledgeable and skilled in the techniques of baseball. We strive to hire coaches who will ensure that each student-athlete’s athletic experience is a positive one.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Teach the proper mechanics and techniques of baseball.
  • Schedule and run team practices.
  • Schedule and then manage games on game days.
  • Assist with training at camps and clinics.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 1-2 years of coaching experience
  • Communication skills
  • Knowledge in baseball
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Must be able to communicate to college coaches and scouts regarding the skill set and abilities of players.
  • Must have schedule flexibility

Work Environment::
This job operates in a mostly remote office environment with occasional travel, must have own transportation. Must live in the area of coaching or willingness to travel. This job is temporary/seasonal.

Our mission at Grand Tournament Elites is to bring exposure to high school baseball athletes, by offering a challenge to take part in a competitive tournament that provides an overall advantage to its participants. As an ideal candidate, you will work closely with the CEO to provide general administrative assistant tasks and other duties as assigned. Assistants should have a positive attitude, be highly organized, have the ability to multi task and remain calm under occasional stressful situations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Communicates with clients, partners and coworkers in a positive, polite, professional and consistent manner in person and over the telephone when providing information.
  • Clerical responsibilities include competently using general programs to record, create and share information.
  • Makes, confirms, reschedules and cancels appointments.
  • Answers and directs telephone calls appropriately and maintains a detailed message log.
  • Maintains clean, orderly, and organized work stations free from any distractions.
  • Reliable and flexible, keeping absences and tardiness to a minimum, acceptable standard.
  • Attend all staff meetings, training, and/or testing if required.
  • Work varying/longer schedules when needed by the GTE.
  • Performs specialized tasks and projects as requested by GTE in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Prior administrative assistant experience, at least 2 years.
  • Current driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Can demonstrate exemplary customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to remain cordial throughout the work day as well as to maintain patience under occasional stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills: data entry, experienced in Microsoft, Google Docs and Google Drive.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organization skills.
  • Local travel may be expected for this position.

As an ideal candidate, you will oversee all staff, budgets and operations. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive.
The baseball general manager is responsible for planning and attaining budgets of the baseball team, arranging travels plans for the players and coaches, as well as addressing questions and complaints in relation to the baseball team. The baseball general manager also hires and fires the coaching staff of the baseball team, oversees and assures that the baseball team does not go over budget; manages, reviews and keeps contracts of the baseball players; and drafts managers to work for the organization. Baseball general managers also discuss with top management and owners regarding certain concerns about the team, explain decisions he recommends for the team, accept feedback from the top management; and represent the baseball team in all activities necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Overseeing the baseball program, budgeting, maintaining the facility, hiring and training the baseball staff.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth.
  • Set policies and processes.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management.
  • Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations.
  • Organizing the training sessions and private lessons.
  • Ensure that fair play and the philosophy of the GTE program is maintained.
  • Assist in every aspect of the program including assessing a player’s skills and abilities to help create the right situation for every player.
  • Maintain supervision and care of each athlete under the care of the GTEs program.
  • Organizing and maintaining sports equipment.
  • Directly responsible for communicating with the participants and their families.
  • Represent GTE and Florida in a positive light at all times.

Our mission at Grand Tournament Elites is to bring exposure to high school baseball athletes, by offering a challenge to take part in a competitive tournament that provides an overall advantage to its participants. As an ideal candidate, the operations manager will support the GTE operations department by handling logistics and event coordination for assigned projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Book, oversee, and budget for GTE events.
  • Book travel and create travel packets.
  • Order and maintain department merchandise.
  • Coordinate and communicate day of game.
  • Serve as liaison with studio operations and scheduling to fulfill outside rental requirements.
  • Assist Production Managers with scheduling freelancers and entering shifts into MLB Network’s scheduling system.
  • Serve as primary departmental in-office support day-to-day and on-location for select events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
  • At least 3 years of prior experience in operations.
  • Working knowledge of baseball plus familiarity with live sports events.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
  • Strong knowledge and passion for operations and logistics.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and time manage.
